It's May. The start of summer. I'm freshly out of college. Now off to the "real world"  in search of my ideal job as an elementary school teacher. My only job at the moment: get a job! Not only that, but I'm hundreds of miles away from my friends, my community -- my extended family; praying that God would send me some like-minded individuals to befriend and grow with. After bouts of loneliness, filling out application after application, turning in resumes, making phone calls, NOTHING was happening. Not only was I not seeing any fruits of my labor, but I had to deal with EVERYONE inquiring about my "next move". Finding joy in the midst of seemed almost impossible. But I digress. Now, fast forward to the end of July.

So, apparently there's this bug going around. It's something in the water that's causing everyone to become married and pop out babies. Every other week it seems as if there is a new baby or marriage announcement. All I can think is: I need to drink more water! lol. I'm kidding. Seriously. I am content in this season and know that my time will come when He knows I'm ready. Right now I'm just focused on surviving in the "real world"! However, I do get equally excited when my friends announce that they are getting married or about to have a baby. Almost as if I'm living vicariously through them.

I know what you're thinking and no, I'm not plotting on how to end my life. Nor am I ungrateful for the opportunity to even have life. However, I have finally decided that I'm taking it back. The question that remains now is, from where?

For those who say, "I don't go to Church anymore because I didn't like the last one I went to for whatever reason" or "I don't go to church because it's full of hypocrites, etc." When you go to a restaurant and you don't like the food or service there, do you just stop eating altogether?

This has been on my heart for some time now, with all of the social media out there. It really bothers me when people ask for certain things from others before making sure that they themselves are together. What do I mean by this?
